Want Your Child to Wear a Mask Outside?^o^

 

Troubled that your child doesn't want to wear a mask? Have a mask party at home first! Let him decorate* his own mask, ask him to help you put yours on, then you can help him put on his. And now, everyone is wearing one and ready to sing and dance along to this "Your Mask, My Mask" song^o^ Your Mask, My Mask - Kindermusik Continue the party with pretend trips to anywhere he'd like to go- the store, zoo, beach, park, etc. Then end with the mask wanting to go home, and put the reusable mask to sleep at a place he designates as the mask's "bed".   (Or if the mask is now soil, help it take a "bath" first before putting it to "sleep".) Repeat this party as many times as he'd like, going on many pretend trips to maybe other places each time!^_^ If your little one likes necklaces, you can also let her choose a (personalized with names,) (beaded) mask lanyard* from Etsy!   Letting them get used to the feel of wearing a mask when they are at the comfort of their own home would make a smoother transition when they are going outside^_^ If you know of other ways that are also helpful, please share with us too! * Thanks to our Kindermusik class' moms for giving us these ideas.
