Home Materials for Piano Students 4-to 7-Year-Olds
The Play-a-Story Student Home Materials ($28) consist of a cinematographic virtual story book, improv demonstrations and step by step tutorial videos showing how your child can improvise along to the story. There is also printable materials including play lists, motif summaries, key theoretical concepts and more!
Home Materials for Piano Students 6 Years Old to Adults
The initial purchase is the Simply Music Level 1 Foundation Program (digital- $35).
It consists of different genres of music that builds up the student's foundation, with pieces that include classical, blues, contemporary and the accompaniment.
Alongside the foundation levels, other special programs to enhance the foundational journey will also be introduced, such as composing, improvising, arranging, playing accompaniment, jazz, and reading music.
Some are free, some are minimal outlay, but they are all spread over the entire learning path, and are specifically designed towards creating a well-rounded musician.
All materials come with either an eBook, audio and/ or video clips.

Please bring a black and red pen to class and a parent needs to be present. A $15 materials fee is due and payable to the instructor at the first class meeting. It uses the piano as its mode of travel, creating sounds, melodies, harmonies and rhythms to express the story... literally, students create their own musical soundtrack. Using the piano, students learn to interpret mood, color and nuance as the story unfolds. Play-a-Story teaches this by providing a foundational, systematic and creative experience that harnesses children’s intuitive, musical appreciation and interpretation.
