Read "Where Do You Live?" aloud or play Track 2 on your Home CD as you make the accompanying motions. Your child may remember some of the words and motions.

 

Pairing motions with the words of simple poems and songs helps children to visualize and understand the stories and poems they are hearing. As the words are said aloud, the children hear them, see them represented, and act them out. This aural, visual, and kinesthetic approach encourages mental imaging and allows for more permanent learning.
