Want Your Child to Wear a Mask Outside?^o^

 

Troubled that your child doesn't want to wear a mask? Have a mask party at home first! Let him decorate* his own mask, ask him to help you put yours on, then you can help him put on his. And now, everyone is wearing one and ready to sing and dance along to this "Your Mask, My Mask" song^o^ Your Mask, My Mask - Kindermusik Continue the party with pretend trips to anywhere he'd like to go- the store, zoo, beach, park, etc. Then end with the mask wanting to go home, and put the reusable mask to sleep at a place he designates as the mask's "bed".   (Or if the mask is now soil, help it take a "bath" first before putting it to "sleep".) Repeat this party as many times as he'd like, going on many pretend trips to maybe other places each time!^_^ If your little one likes necklaces, you can also let her choose a (personalized with names,) (beaded) mask lanyard* from Etsy!   Letting them get used to the feel of wearing a mask when they are at the comfort of their own home would make a smoother transition when they are going outside^_^ If you know of other ways that are also helpful, please share with us too! * Thanks to our Kindermusik class' moms for giving us these ideas.

I recently started teaching a high school friend's children Mandarin Chinese. And since I spent SO many hours researching on resources and materials (and will continue doing that until when I stop teaching them), I thought of sharing my compilation of Chinese songs I found on YouTube with as many people as I can, so more can benefit from the fruits of my labor^_^ (I was very picky about the melody, arrangements, and lyrics of the songs, so only chose the ones I felt was worth using or teaching.) You Won't Believe How Much a Baby Could Already Learn...

 A few months ago, I saw a short clip about how this little girl Bella could speak and read many languages, then saw this other video below where her mom shared how she nurtured Bella to be multilingual.

I thought it's pretty fascinating on how much children starting in infancy could already learn and remember, since she was able to recognize and read words at 10-month-old, although not speaking yet!

(Not that I think all parents should do this, because it was a lot of work for Bella's mom, but just amazing to know that it's possible^_^)


(Nothing in this is a "must see", so you can just play it in the background and listen if you are too busy to watch.

(And if you want time save time, after seeing Bella at the beginning briefly, you can just fast forward to 6:45, when her mom starts explaining.)
